Construction Project Accountant

Prospect Construction is currently seeking a Project Accountant to join our team.
This position is located in our Missoula, Montana Office.

Prospect Construction is a Heavy Civil Contractor that specializes in water and wastewater treatment plants, hydraulic structures/facilities, shoring systems, large concrete tanks, pump stations/process facilities, dewatering, major excavations, structural steel, process equipment, and mechanical systems. Prospect began as a General Contractor in 1998, with our first office location in Puyallup Washington. Over the last few decades, Prospect has coupled its expertise in complex projects with its vast level of self-performance to grow into one of the premier treatment plant contractors in the Northwest. This continued growth has allowed Prospect to bring our expertise into new geographical regions, with the establishment of our office in Missoula, Montana in the Fall of 2020 and the opening of our Sheridan, Wyoming Office in the Summer of 2023.

This position will serve as the Project Accountant for a specific Project Management Team, process all AP invoices, and ensure all accounting standards and operating procedures are followed. This position will assist in all support functions, but specifically be the accounting gateway for the assigned project team(s).

Responsibilities/Skills must include but are not limited to:

Coordinate project start-up.

Maintain all project documentation for assigned projects.

Assist with the preparation of monthly owner invoices and subcontractor billing.

Track subcontractor insurance certificates, lien waivers, second tier lien waivers, etc., for compliance.

Assist with the collection of monthly cost and revenue projections.

Ensure job cost reports and accounts receivable reports are accurate at all times, update project management team monthly.

Process change orders, budget, and job cost adjustments.

Input quantities and ensure quantity tracking tools are being reported correctly to project teams.

Process all AP invoices.

Reconcile AP Statements

Process bi-weekly check runs.

Corporate credit card processing.

Assist with closeouts and punch lists.

Various other administrative functions as required.

Solid self-management, organizational skills, attention to detail and follow-up skills.

Strong proofreading skills to thoroughly check accuracy of data.

Dependable organized and efficient.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Able to work in a fast-paced team environment and meet deadlines with a positive attitude.

Multi-tasking a must and flexible to changing conditions.
Qualifications:
-
ive years administrative experience, preferably in the construction industry.

Proficient in Microsoft Office software, construction software, and Project Management software a plus.

Construction Accounting experience.​

Salary $60,000-$80,000/ Year DOE​
